The 2026 Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort ended with several changes to the official classification after penalties were handed out during and following the race.

Lando Norris delivered another commanding performance for McLaren, continuing his excellent form after the summer break. The Briton crossed the finish line first to claim victory and maintain his strong momentum in the championship fight.

Kimi Antonelli finished second for Mercedes, with teammate George Russell completing the podium in third. Ferrari’s Lewis Hamilton narrowly missed out on a podium place, finishing fourth, while Charles Leclerc followed in fifth. Oscar Piastri completed the top six for McLaren.

Liam Lawson was classified seventh for Red Bull, although his final position was affected by a post-race penalty. Nico Hulkenberg secured eighth for Audi, with Fernando Alonso ninth for Aston Martin and Pierre Gasly rounding out the top ten.

Yuki Tsunoda finished 11th, followed by Racing Bulls teammate Arvid Lindblad in 12th. Gabriel Bortoleto took 13th for Audi, while Franco Colapinto was classified 14th for Alpine after receiving multiple penalties.

Sergio Perez finished 15th, while Carlos Sainz was placed 16th after being penalized for his late-race collision with Williams teammate Alex Albon.

Several drivers were investigated for yellow-flag infringements. Colapinto and Lindblad received drive-through penalties during the race, while Lawson and Colapinto were hit with additional penalties after the chequered flag. Colapinto therefore faced more than one sanction during the event.

The race also featured a dramatic retirement for home favourite Max Verstappen. The Red Bull driver suffered a heavy crash on the opening lap and spent most of the remainder of the race watching from the garage, ending his final Dutch Grand Prix appearance at Zandvoort in disappointing fashion.
