Martin Brundle, David Croft and Ted Kravitz Absent from Sky Sports F1 Coverage at Dutch Grand Prix

Sky Sports’ Formula 1 coverage at this weekend’s Dutch Grand Prix has a noticeably different look, with several of the broadcaster’s familiar personalities missing from the action at Zandvoort.

Among the biggest names absent are Martin Brundle, David Croft and Ted Kravitz, three figures who have played prominent roles in Sky Sports’ F1 coverage. Presenter Simon Lazenby is also not part of the team at the Dutch Grand Prix.

The 2026 Formula 1 season resumed after the summer break in the Netherlands, with teams and drivers returning to Zandvoort for another important championship weekend. However, viewers tuning into the Sky Sports coverage quickly noticed that several regular members of the broadcast team were not present.

Brundle’s absence is particularly significant because the former Formula 1 driver has become one of the most recognisable analysts on Sky’s coverage. He regularly provides technical insight and contributes to the broadcaster’s pre-race and post-race programmes.

Croft is also missing from the commentary team. As Sky Sports’ lead commentator, he normally provides the main commentary for qualifying and the Grand Prix. His absence means another commentator is required to take on the responsibility during the Dutch weekend. Sky’s 2026 line-up had already confirmed that Harry Benjamin would serve as a replacement for Croft at selected races.

Kravitz is another notable absentee. The experienced pitlane reporter is well known for delivering technical updates, interviewing team personnel and presenting his popular Notebook segments. His absence means Sky’s coverage has lost another of its regular sources of information from inside the paddock.

There has been no detailed official explanation from Sky Sports regarding why all of the absent personalities are away from Zandvoort this weekend. However, rotating members of the broadcast team across the long Formula 1 calendar is not unusual. Croft, Brundle and Kravitz have all missed selected race weekends in previous seasons.

The Dutch Grand Prix remains an important fixture on the 2026 calendar, particularly as the championship enters another crucial phase following the summer break. With the drivers battling for points and teams continuing to develop their cars, Sky Sports will still provide extensive coverage despite the changes to its usual line-up.

For regular viewers, though, the absence of Brundle, Croft, Kravitz and Lazenby makes this weekend’s coverage noticeably different. Their familiar voices and personalities have become closely associated with Sky’s Formula 1 broadcasts.

The changes are therefore likely to attract plenty of attention from fans, even as the main focus remains on the competitive action taking place around the Zandvoort circuit.
