The FIA has officially confirmed the final classification for the 2026 Hungarian Grand Prix after reviewing post-race incidents and applying the remaining penalties. The revised standings sealed Lando Norris’ first victory of the season, while Lewis Hamilton was once again affected by a stewarding decision.

Hamilton had expressed his frustration before Sunday’s race, saying on social media that he felt he “couldn’t catch a break” with recent FIA rulings. His difficult weekend had already begun before the race, as both he and Kimi Antonelli received three-place grid penalties following a post-qualifying investigation, dropping them to fifth and seventh on the starting grid respectively.

Despite the setbacks, Antonelli produced an impressive recovery drive to finish third, strengthening his championship campaign. Hamilton also fought through the field but ultimately finished fifth after another penalty impacted his result.

At the front, Norris delivered a composed performance to secure his maiden win of the 2026 Formula 1 season, with Max Verstappen finishing second for Red Bull and Antonelli completing the podium for Mercedes.
