Amended F1 Dutch Grand Prix 2026 Results: Final Classification With Post-Race Penalties Applied

The 2026 Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort has been officially settled following the application of several penalties issued during and after Sunday’s race. Lando Norris emerged as the winner for McLaren, while Mercedes secured the remaining podium positions through Kimi Antonelli and George Russell.

Norris produced a commanding performance to begin the second half of the Formula 1 season with another victory. Antonelli finished second, 11.536 seconds behind the McLaren driver, while Russell completed the podium 15.906 seconds behind the winner.

Lewis Hamilton narrowly missed out on a podium place for Ferrari. The seven-time world champion finished fourth, only 16.755 seconds behind Norris. Ferrari teammate Charles Leclerc followed in fifth, with Oscar Piastri taking sixth for McLaren.

The order further down the field was affected by penalties. Liam Lawson was classified seventh after a 10-second post-race penalty for failing to slow sufficiently under yellow flags. Nico Hulkenberg finished eighth for Audi, followed by Fernando Alonso in ninth and Pierre Gasly in 10th.

Yuki Tsunoda took 11th, with Racing Bulls teammate Arvid Lindblad classified 12th. Gabriel Bortoleto finished 13th for Audi, while Franco Colapinto was placed 14th after receiving multiple penalties during the event. Sergio Perez completed the running drivers in 15th for Cadillac.

Carlos Sainz was classified 16th after receiving a 10-second penalty for causing a collision with Williams teammate Alex Albon. The incident occurred at Turn 1 when Sainz locked his tyres while defending against Albon. The stewards determined that Sainz was responsible for the collision. Albon subsequently retired from the race.

Colapinto endured one of the more difficult races of the weekend. The Alpine driver was initially penalised during the race for a yellow-flag-related infringement and later received another 10-second penalty after the stewards determined that he had failed to slow adequately for a yellow flag. His final classification was 14th.

The Dutch Grand Prix also featured a dramatic early retirement for Max Verstappen. The Red Bull driver crashed on the opening lap after losing control of his car on the damp section of the circuit. The incident triggered yellow flags and subsequently a red flag, bringing Verstappen’s home race to an abrupt end.

Several other drivers were classified as non-finishers, including Albon, Valtteri Bottas, Esteban Ocon, Lance Stroll, Oliver Bearman and Verstappen.

Charles Leclerc recorded the fastest lap of the race with a time of 1:14.230 on lap 60. With the penalties now incorporated, the classification represents the amended official result from Zandvoort.

The final top six therefore remained Norris, Antonelli, Russell, Hamilton, Leclerc and Piastri, while post-race decisions mainly affected positions further down the order. The Formula 1 paddock will now turn its attention to Monza, with the Italian Grand Prix scheduled as the next round of the championship.
