MAX VERSTAPPEN REVEALS MESSAGE TO RED BULL TEAM AS HUGE CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS ARE FI….

Max Verstappen has revealed what he told the Red Bull team during the intense negotiations that eventually secured his long-term Formula 1 future with the squad.

After months of speculation surrounding a possible departure, Verstappen signed a new contract that will keep him with Red Bull until the end of the 2030 season. The agreement ended widespread uncertainty over whether the four-time world champion could leave the team for a rival such as Mercedes or McLaren.

The negotiations had attracted enormous attention because Verstappen’s previous agreement was understood to run through 2028, while reports had repeatedly linked him with a potential move elsewhere. However, the Dutchman ultimately decided that his future remained with the team that brought him to the top of Formula 1.

Speaking after the deal was completed, Verstappen indicated that he never felt overwhelmed by the situation. According to RacingNews365, he said he was “never really stressed” during the negotiations.

That calm approach was particularly notable given how much speculation had surrounded his future.

Verstappen’s relationship with Red Bull has been one of the defining partnerships of the modern F1 era. He joined the team as a teenager and went on to become a multiple world champion, establishing himself as the centrepiece of Red Bull’s competitive ambitions.

Yet 2026 has presented a very different challenge. Red Bull has struggled to match the pace of Mercedes and other leading teams consistently, leaving Verstappen further down the championship order than fans have become accustomed to seeing. Sky Sports reported before the Dutch Grand Prix that Verstappen was sixth in the championship and 110 points behind championship leader Kimi Antonelli.

That competitive situation was one reason his future became such a major talking point.

Despite the uncertainty, Verstappen made clear that his decision was not simply about finding another team. Formula 1’s official website reported that the Dutchman explained he did not feel the need to “drive in another colour.”

That message is significant. Rather than treating the negotiations purely as a battle over salary or contract length, Verstappen appeared to place considerable importance on the people and environment already around him at Red Bull.

The new agreement also gives Red Bull an important degree of stability. With Verstappen committed through 2030, the team can focus on rebuilding around its star driver rather than constantly answering questions about his future.

Verstappen himself has also expressed confidence in the people working at Red Bull. When the extension was announced, he said he was pleased with the deal and excited to continue working with the team as they attempt to return to the front of the field.

The timing of the announcement was particularly important. Red Bull’s performance has been under scrutiny during the 2026 season, while Mercedes has emerged as a major force and Kimi Antonelli has made a spectacular rise to the top of the championship.

At Monza, Verstappen still demonstrated his ability to fight at the sharp end, finishing third behind the Mercedes drivers. Antonelli won the Italian Grand Prix after starting from 19th, while Verstappen completed the podium.

That result could provide Red Bull with encouragement as it continues working to close the performance gap.

For Verstappen, however, the biggest question surrounding his career has now been answered. The Dutch superstar has chosen continuity over a dramatic change of scenery, committing himself to Red Bull until at least the end of 2030.

The decision effectively closes one of Formula 1’s biggest transfer stories and gives both driver and team a clear target: build another championship-winning Red Bull before Verstappen’s new contract expires.

With his future finally settled, attention can now shift away from contract speculation and back toward the track — where Verstappen will be expected to help Red Bull turn its ambitious long-term plans into another title challenge.
