What has been confirmed is the Mercedes boss’s unusually sharp criticism of Ferrari following the controversial opening-lap incident at Monza.

The controversy began when Hamilton and his Ferrari team-mate Leclerc went wheel-to-wheel during the opening stages of the Italian Grand Prix. Hamilton was forced wide and lost valuable positions, while Leclerc later suffered a crash that ended his race.
