BREAKING: Lewis Hamilton Absence at Dutch Grand Prix Confirmed Following…read more

Lewis Hamilton’s status ahead of this weekend’s Dutch Grand Prix has become a major talking point, with fans reacting to reports surrounding his absence from parts of the official Formula 1 schedule at Zandvoort.

However, there is an important distinction: Hamilton has not been confirmed as absent from the Dutch Grand Prix race itself. Current reports and the published Dutch Grand Prix schedule continue to list him as a Ferrari driver for the Zandvoort weekend. The event runs from August 21 to 23, with the sprint taking place on Saturday before Sunday’s main race.

The confusion appears to stem from Hamilton being left out of certain official media or FIA sessions, something that has happened to drivers at previous race weekends. Such an omission does not automatically mean that a driver is unable to compete. In fact, Hamilton remains one of the major names expected to feature during what will be the final Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort for the foreseeable future.

The 2026 season has already delivered plenty of pressure for Hamilton and Ferrari. After making the high-profile switch from Mercedes to Ferrari, the seven-time world champion has been fighting to establish himself at the front of the new-generation Formula 1 field.

Despite the challenges, Hamilton has already shown flashes of his old pace. He secured victory at the Spanish Grand Prix earlier this season, marking his 106th career Formula 1 win.

The Dutch Grand Prix could therefore provide another important opportunity for Hamilton to challenge the leading Mercedes and McLaren drivers. Kimi Antonelli currently leads the championship, while Hamilton remains among the contenders near the front of the standings.

Adding further intrigue to the weekend is the absence of Red Bull’s Isack Hadjar, who has been ruled out after suffering a wrist injury. Liam Lawson will replace him at Red Bull, while Yuki Tsunoda is set to move into Lawson’s Racing Bulls seat.

For Hamilton supporters, the key message is that there is currently no confirmation that Lewis Hamilton will miss the Dutch Grand Prix itself. Any claim suggesting that Ferrari’s star driver has been completely ruled out should therefore be treated cautiously unless Ferrari or Formula 1 announces otherwise.

With Zandvoort hosting its final scheduled F1 race, Hamilton’s presence could be one of the weekend’s biggest attractions. The attention will now turn to Friday’s opening sessions and whether Ferrari can give Hamilton a car capable of fighting for another victory.
