The FIA has confirmed that Mercedes driver and Formula One championship leader Kimi Antonelli was handed an additional sanction following the Hungarian Grand Prix, adding to the three-place grid penalty he had already received before Sunday’s race.
Antonelli and Lewis Hamilton were both demoted three places on the grid after separate qualifying incidents were reviewed by the race stewards. However, unlike Hamilton, Antonelli’s disciplinary case included a further consequence, with the FIA confirming an additional penalty after completing its investigation.
