Lewis Hamilton has received a major boost ahead of Sunday’s Italian Grand Prix after Oscar Piastri was handed a three-place grid penalty following qualifying at Monza.

Piastri had initially qualified third for McLaren, putting him directly ahead of Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc and Hamilton. However, the post-qualifying penalty means the Australian will drop down the starting order, promoting the Ferrari pair.
