Lewis Hamilton Brings His ‘Lucky Dust’ to Monza as His Mum Joins Ferrari’s Crucial…..

Lewis Hamilton has called on a very special member of his support team as he targets a historic victory for Ferrari at the Italian Grand Prix — his mother, Carmen Larbalestier.

Hamilton revealed ahead of the Monza race that his mum is attending the iconic circuit for the first time, and he jokingly hopes she can bring some “lucky dust” to help him challenge for victory.

The seven-time world champion is under significant pressure this weekend as Ferrari prepares for its biggest home race of the season. Hamilton has already won at Monza five times in his career, but never with Ferrari. A victory on Sunday would therefore carry enormous significance for the British driver. �

“My mum’s here this weekend,” Hamilton said. “I don’t think she’s been to Monza, but also particularly on a Ferrari weekend. I wanted her to experience that and bring any of the lucky dust she can bring.” �

Hamilton’s comments underline how much the Italian Grand Prix means to him. He is tied with Michael Schumacher on five Monza victories and could move clear of the legendary Ferrari driver with a sixth win.

More importantly, Hamilton is chasing his first Italian Grand Prix victory in Ferrari colours. He admitted that achieving that in front of the passionate Tifosi would be “phenomenal”, while also recognising the immense pressure that comes with representing Ferrari at its home race. �

Ferrari has also introduced an engine upgrade for the Monza weekend, giving Hamilton additional hope that the team can challenge Mercedes and McLaren at the front.

“I strongly believe that the team has what it takes to win,” Hamilton said, stressing that Ferrari will need everything to come together perfectly if it is to stand on the top step of the podium.

With his mother watching from the sidelines, a Ferrari upgrade behind him and thousands of passionate Tifosi cheering him on, Hamilton will be hoping that his family’s “lucky dust” can finally help him complete his Monza mission with the Scuderia.
