Lando Norris has officially been confirmed as the winner of the 2026 Dutch Grand Prix after Formula 1 incorporated a number of late penalties into the final classification at Zandvoort.
The McLaren driver produced a controlled performance to claim his second consecutive Grand Prix victory, finishing ahead of Mercedes’ Kimi Antonelli and George Russell. The result means Norris retained the top position despite the post-race sporting decisions issued by the FIA.
The late penalties affected three drivers. Franco Colapinto and Liam Lawson were each handed 10-second time penalties for failing to slow sufficiently for yellow flags, while Carlos Sainz received a 10-second penalty for causing a collision. Formula 1’s official results page confirms that those penalties were reflected in the final classification.
However, none of the decisions changed the leading positions. Norris remained first, with Antonelli second and Russell completing the podium. Ferrari’s Lewis Hamilton finished fourth, ahead of team-mate Charles Leclerc, while Oscar Piastri was classified sixth.

The penalties therefore produced changes further down the order without disrupting the battle at the front. The FIA’s official race report also confirms Norris’ victory over Antonelli and Russell after a dramatic race that featured changing conditions, a red flag and Max Verstappen’s retirement.
For Norris, the result represents another major step in his 2026 campaign. His back-to-back victories have strengthened his position in the championship fight, while Mercedes again secured a double podium through Antonelli and Russell.
With the post-race penalties now incorporated, the Dutch Grand Prix classification stands officially confirmed, leaving Norris as the winner of the final Formula 1 race at Zandvoort.
