FIA Announce Kimi Antonelli Punishment as Lewis Hamilton B…see details 

Mercedes Formula 1 driver Kimi Antonelli has confirmed that he will serve a grid penalty at his home Italian Grand Prix in Monza on September 6. The penalty has been expected for some time, with the championship-leading youngster and his Mercedes teammate George Russell both approaching the maximum number of power unit components permitted under Formula 1 regulations.
For Antonelli, the timing of the penalty is particularly significant because the Italian Grand Prix represents his home race. The 19-year-old Italian has enjoyed an impressive campaign and has established himself as one of the leading drivers on the F1 grid. However, the need to use additional power unit components means he will now have to accept a disadvantage before the race even begins.
