2026 Dutch Grand Prix Starting Grid With Penalties Applied… see details 

 

The starting grid for Sunday’s Formula 1 Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort has been confirmed, with reigning world champion Lando Norris securing pole position after a dramatic qualifying session.

 

The McLaren driver produced a strong final qualifying lap to beat both Mercedes drivers and claim the top spot on the grid. George Russell will start alongside Norris from second place, while his Mercedes team-mate Kimi Antonelli will line up third.

 

Norris’s McLaren team-mate Oscar Piastri will start the race from fourth after narrowly missing out on the front row. The result gives McLaren a strong opportunity to fight for victory at the Dutch Grand Prix, with both of its cars positioned inside the top four.

 

Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton will start fifth for Ferrari. After what has been a difficult weekend for the British driver so far, Hamilton managed to recover some ground in qualifying and finished just ahead of team-mate Charles Leclerc, who will start sixth.

 

Home favourite Max Verstappen will begin his Dutch Grand Prix from seventh on the grid. The Red Bull driver had been expected to challenge for the front positions at Zandvoort, but he was unable to match the pace of the McLaren and Mercedes cars during qualifying.

 

Liam Lawson will start eighth for Red Bull, giving the team both cars inside the top eight. Audi’s Gabriel Bortoleto secured ninth place, while Racing Bulls driver Arvid Lindblad completes the top 10.

 

Pierre Gasly will start 11th for Alpine, followed by Racing Bulls’ Yuki Tsunoda in 12th. Nico Hulkenberg will line up 13th for Audi, with Alpine driver Franco Colapinto taking 14th.

 

Esteban Ocon starts 15th for Haas, ahead of Williams driver Alex Albon in 16th. Carlos Sainz will start alongside his Williams team-mate from 17th.

 

Fernando Alonso will begin the race from 18th for Aston Martin, with team-mate Lance Stroll one place behind him in 19th. Ollie Bearman will start 20th for Haas.

 

At the back of the field, Cadillac’s Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez will start 21st and 22nd respectively.

 

With the grid now set and all applicable penalties applied, attention turns to Sunday’s race. Norris will be aiming to convert pole into another victory, but he faces strong competition from Russell, Antonelli, Piastri and the Ferrari drivers.

 

The battle at the front could be particularly intense, while Verstappen will also be looking to move forward in front of his home crowd. With several championship contenders starting close together, the opening laps at Zandvoort could prove crucial.
