Ferrari F1 Icon Jean Alesi Ties the Knot in Italy Ahead of…
Former Ferrari Formula 1 star Jean Alesi has celebrated a major milestone away from the racetrack after getting married in a beautiful ceremony in Italy, just days before the Italian Grand Prix gets underway at Monza.
Alesi enjoyed a memorable career in Formula 1, making his debut with Tyrrell in 1989 before joining Ferrari in 1991. The Frenchman spent five seasons with the Scuderia and quickly became a favourite among the passionate Tifosi.
Although Alesi claimed just one victory during his F1 career, his spectacular driving style, determination and emotional connection with Ferrari fans made him one of the most popular drivers of his generation. He also collected 15 podium finishes during his time in the sport.
Following his Ferrari years, Alesi went on to race for Benetton, Sauber, Prost and Jordan before bringing his F1 career to an end after the 2001 season. Since retiring, however, he has remained a familiar face around the Formula 1 paddock.
Alesi celebrates wedding in Italy
With the Italian Grand Prix taking place this weekend, attention has naturally turned to whether Alesi will make an appearance at his beloved former team’s home race.
According to Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera, Alesi recently married his partner, Ania, in an intimate ceremony at Marina del Cantone on the Sorrentine Peninsula.
Around 100 guests reportedly attended the special occasion, with several familiar faces from the world of motorsport among them. One of the most notable guests was fellow French F1 legend and former Ferrari driver Alain Prost.
Alesi later shared a photograph with his new wife on Instagram, simply captioning the post, “Love.”
The former Ferrari favourite followed that up with another heartwarming picture, showing the newlyweds smiling as they posed together in a vintage Rolls-Royce.
With the Italian Grand Prix just around the corner, Alesi now has another reason to make this week particularly special.
Congratulations to Jean and Ania on their marriage!
