Lewis Hamilton Makes Stunning Ferrari F40 Entrance at Monza Ahead of…
Lewis Hamilton has once again shown why he remains one of Formula 1’s biggest style icons, but this time it was not just his outfit that caught attention.
The seven-time world champion made a spectacular arrival at Monza on Thursday ahead of the Italian Grand Prix, turning heads as he drove into the paddock in his recently restored Ferrari F40.
Hamilton’s choice of transport was particularly fitting given his move to Ferrari. The iconic F40 is one of the most celebrated cars ever produced by the Italian manufacturer, and the particular example driven by Hamilton has a remarkable story behind it.
The car had reportedly spent more than 30 years sitting unused in a private garage before Hamilton acquired it. He then sent it to Maranello, where Ferrari specialists worked on restoring the classic machine. Hamilton has previously described the F40 as his dream car from childhood, making its appearance at his home race with Ferrari even more significant.
Adding another personal touch, the F40 carried the number 44, Hamilton’s familiar Formula 1 race number.
But the car was only half of the spectacle.
Hamilton stepped out wearing a sharp dark suit, complemented by a tan overcoat draped over his shoulders. He completed the look with a flat wool cap and sunglasses, creating a classic, almost cinematic appearance that was very different from some of the more adventurous outfits he has become known for at Formula 1 events.
Photographers and fans quickly gathered around as Hamilton made his way into the paddock, with images and videos of the arrival spreading across social media.
The timing could hardly have been better. Monza is Ferrari’s home circuit, and the Italian Grand Prix is traditionally one of the biggest weekends of the season for the Scuderia and its enormous fanbase.
This year’s event carries additional significance for Ferrari because the team is also paying tribute to Michael Schumacher. Ferrari has prepared a special Schumacher-inspired livery for the weekend, while Hamilton and Charles Leclerc are set to wear specially designed race suits featuring details connected to the seven-time champion. The tribute marks 30 years since Schumacher joined Ferrari and celebrates his lasting impact on the team.
Hamilton’s arrival therefore provided another memorable image before the racing had even begun.
There is also plenty of attention on what Hamilton can achieve on track. The Briton is entering his second season with Ferrari and has already secured his first victory for the team this year at the Spanish Grand Prix.
Ferrari will be hoping that the positive atmosphere surrounding Hamilton’s arrival can continue throughout the weekend. Charles Leclerc has already enjoyed success at Monza in the past, while Hamilton himself has won the Italian Grand Prix five times.
With Ferrari competing at its home race, Hamilton arriving in one of the company’s most legendary road cars and a major Schumacher tribute taking place, Monza is already producing plenty of memorable moments before the lights even go out.
For fans, Hamilton’s F40 arrival was more than just a stylish entrance. It brought together his personal love for one of Ferrari’s greatest road cars, his connection with the Italian manufacturer and the unmistakable glamour that surrounds Formula 1’s visit to Monza.
If the seven-time champion wanted to make an entrance that people would remember, he certainly succeeded.
