The Dutch driver is expected to take part in the event at Portimão, Portugal, scheduled for October 16–18, adding another demanding motorsport commitment to an already packed calendar.

Verstappen is believed to be set to drive a Mercedes-AMG GT3 as part of his growing involvement in endurance and GT racing. The project has attracted considerable attention because Verstappen has repeatedly demonstrated that his passion for motorsport extends well beyond Formula 1.

According to the latest reports surrounding the planned entry, Verstappen is expected to share the car with Chris Lulham. The two have already been associated with Verstappen’s GT3 ambitions, making their potential partnership at Portimão an important development for the project.

The biggest talking point, however, could be the identity of the driver occupying the third seat. IndyCar star Alex Palou has reportedly emerged as Verstappen’s preferred choice.
