A stupid and disgraceful act was committed by Go Ahead Eagles player Victor Edvardsen during the Europa League match against VfB Stuttgart. He was accused of mocking Angelo Stiller’s physical appearance.
Edvardsen was seen repeatedly pointing at his nose. Because of his actions, Stiller’s Stuttgart teammates immediately confronted and challenged Edvardsen. Stuttgart eventually won the match 4–0 against GA Eagles.
Edvardsen’s Post-Match Interview: “I wanted to give our team some energy again, full of adrenaline, and play with a lot of emotion. I haven’t apologized so far, and I don’t know whether I will apologize or not. It’s very easy to apologize, but he also said things that you don’t know about. He might have to apologize to me as well.”
Pundit Wesley Sneijder’s Harsh Comments: “He should walk into the opponents’ dressing room right now and apologize. This is bullying! And we know what can happen as a result of bullying — we’ve already seen examples of that in life. This is very serious.”
“Go Ahead Eagles should grab him by the ear and drag him into the opponents’ dressing room! Children will see behavior like this! This guy isn’t right in the way he thinks. I have to stop talking because I’m getting angrier and angrier.”
