Several Premier League Clubs Want Real Madrid Benchwarmer Gonzalo García

Multiple Premier League clubs are closely monitoring the situation of Real Madrid forward Gonzalo García, with Brighton and others prepared to move for a January loan if Madrid gives the green light.

According to Diario AS, interest from England has increased significantly in recent weeks, despite the 21-year-old’s main objective remaining unchanged: earn Xabi Alonso’s trust and establish himself at Real Madrid.

Gonzalo’s rise began with an exceptional Club World Cup campaign, where he scored four goals and provided one assist in six matches. His performances made him the tournament’s top scorer, earned him a contract extension until 2030, and pushed him into the early plans of Madrid’s coaching staff.

This season, however, has been a sharp contrast. Gonzalo has played just 105 minutes across nine games, starting only once — against Espanyol — and registering a single assist in the Champions League against Kairat Almaty. With such limited playing time and Madrid’s attacking depth offering few openings, Premier League teams view him as an ideal opportunity in the winter market.

The decision now lies with Real Madrid: keep Gonzalo as a bench option or allow him to leave on loan to continue his development. The situation is further complicated by Endrick’s position, as he is also considering pushing for a move in search of more consistent minutes.

The January window may force Madrid to choose between retaining depth or letting their young talents grow elsewhere.
