Former Chelsea and Ivory Coast legend Didier Drogba has issued a strong warning to Premier League rivals, claiming Arsenal would become “extremely dangerous” if they complete the signing of Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo.
Speaking during a recent football discussion, Drogba praised Semenyo’s physicality, versatility, and tactical intelligence, insisting the Ghana international could be a decisive addition to Mikel Arteta’s evolving Arsenal side.
Arsenal are actively monitoring attacking reinforcements as they continue their push to reclaim the Premier League title. Despite the significant progress made under Arteta, questions remain over depth, variation, and physical presence in the final third. According to Drogba, Semenyo offers qualities Arsenal currently lack.
“Antoine Semenyo is not just a winger,” Drogba said. “He is aggressive, direct, powerful, and intelligent in his movement. If Arsenal sign him, they become unpredictable. That is dangerous for any opponent.”
Semenyo has been one of Bournemouth’s standout performers, earning recognition for his work rate, pressing intensity, and willingness to influence decisive moments. Unlike traditional wide players, he is comfortable operating across the front line—on either flank or through the middle—an attribute Drogba believes fits seamlessly into Arteta’s tactical system.
