Beloved soap opera star Thorsten Kaye, best known for his role as Ridge Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful, was involved in a fire outbreak over the weekend. The incident occurred at a private residence in the Los Angeles area, where Kaye was reportedly spending time with close friends.
According to early reports from fire officials, the blaze began in the kitchen due to what investigators believe was a malfunctioning appliance. Smoke quickly spread through the home, prompting emergency services to respond immediately after receiving multiple 911 calls from neighbors.
Kaye, along with three others, was inside the house when the fire started. All occupants were able to evacuate the premises before the fire engulfed the main living area. Paramedics treated Kaye on-site for mild smoke inhalation, and he was later taken to a nearby hospital as a precaution. He has since been released and is recovering well.
